We are currently seeking a Part Time Nurse (RN)
Position Summary
The Nurse has primary responsibility to ensure that all program clients receive the proper medical treatment as dictated by the Department of Juvenile Justice's Health Services Manual (DJJ-HSM). The Nurse is responsible for sick call, routine medical care including episodic care, admission required screenings, medical records upkeep, communication with offsite medical providers, transportation when required, training for program staff, routine emergency drills, and monitoring of all clients' medical and dental needs.
Essential Job Functions
Conducts daily sick call as required by policy,
Supervises the administration of all medication and maintains Medication Administration Records for all program clients,
Supervises all medication procurement, perpetual inventories, and proper storage,
Ensures follow-up instructions from all off campus treatments are followed as scheduled and recorded in the medical records as indicated in the DJJ- HSM,
Conducts and documents in service training for all staff for medical related issues,
Communicates with Administration and/or Shift Supervisor every day prior to sick call,
Conducts and documents health education classes for all students/family when needed,
Communicates with other department staff regarding medical needs of youth while participating on a treatment team as a treatment team member,
Maintains medical areas in clean, professional and kids' friendly manner,
Administers first aid and CPR during emergencies in accordance with American Red Cross standards,
Prevent and intervene in student altercations and incidents.May be necessary to physically restrain students as dictated by the Restraint Policy.
Drives program's vehicles as required in accordance with the transportation guidelines.Maintains approved driving status as stated in the transportation guidelines.
Assists/leads with special projects and other duties as needed,
Serves as a positive role model for assigned students,
May be required to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience
Must be in good standing in the State with an active license and a degree in nursing,
Experience in pediatric nursing and/or working within a correctional facility preferred,
Must obtain and maintain appropriate crisis intervention and physical restraint training and certification as defined by state requirements, e.g., Protective Action Response (PAR), Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Safe Crisis Management (SCM),
Satisfy criminal background check and drug screening as defined by state requirements,
Obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification by nationally recognized organization,
Must possess and maintain valid driver's license in the state of employment that meets AMIkids Transportation Standards,

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
