Buyer Assistant (contract)

TRC Staffing seeks a buyer assistant for a 6-mo contract with a major manufacturer in Melbourne. Candidate must be either US Citizen or Perm Resident for consideration and high school diploma is required.
POSITION: primarily working with suppliers to update the Mismatch tool with delivery information, addressing problem receipts from suppliers, and working with suppliers to return material.
Administers daily documentation process to support procurement process which includes obtaining documentation for specifications, drawings, artwork, and pricing, certifications, returned material authorizations, purchase agreement data, case files, acknowledgements, last time buys, and routine clerical duties.
o Responsible for input of data/interface with procurement business system for Purchasing functions, i.e. independent requirements, last time buy requirements, supplier quote information, purchase order input, and purchase order status.
o Assists as directed in special projects.
o Contacts suppliers to validate ship dates under the supervision of the buyer.
o Under direct supervision, process purchase requisitions, issue request for quotes from suppliers, assignments of purchase order numbers, maintains purchase order log, input purchase orders into procurement business system, and process purchase change orders.
REQUIRED:
- High school diploma

-quick learner
PREFERRED:
-SAP experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
