We are seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join our client's winning team. This is with a stable company that has a solid management team. You will approve or reject loans within your authorized limit of authority and communicate directly with dealer personnel on the loan decision.
Job Requirements:
Analyzes loan applications, credit bureau reports, collateral evaluation, member account data, financial statements, tax returns and other loan documentation in order to make consistent, sound lending decisions on consumer, home equity and smaller member business loans.
Communicates directly with dealer personnel on loan decisions and negotiates with them on stipulated loan decisions to mitigate the risk associated with the application. Clearly explains reasons for stipulating or denying the loan request.
Maintains an acceptable level of quality as determined by established loan error standards.
Resolves member problems and, as requested, reevaluates consumer loans previously denied in order to deliver exceptional service to members.
Desired Skills and Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of prior experience in consumer lending underwriting with full approval/denial authority. Also needs a minimum of 2 years underwriting indirect loans through indirect dealers.
Demonstrates strong consumer and credit knowledge, policy/procedures expertise and analytical abilities.
Ability to thoroughly analyze financial statements, credit bureau reports and other financial data and document findings.
Knowledge of automated underwriting tools and related technology.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, while working with customers (internal and/or external, as appropriate) to ensure complete understanding and comprehension of the intent and content of the communication.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
