To maintain the grounds, facility interior and exterior, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, to ensure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age; Completion of high school education or equivalency or otherwise show ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions; Must speak and understand English Positive attitude toward the elderly.
Essential Job Functions:
A.
Maintenance Functions and Duties:
Assist the Maintenance Director in maintaining the facility in good repair; perform and assist in routine grounds keeping tasks and maintenance of the grounds, parking areas and driveways; perform and assist in routine plumbing, plastering, painting, lighting, electrical, carpentry and mechanical maintenance and repairs of the facility, equipment and HVAC systems; clean windows, screens and high areas; perform duties as directed or required, in compliance with established Universal Precautions, fire, safety, infection control, isolation and sanitation procedures; promptly report accidents, incidents, unsafe and hazardous conditions and that all tools and supplies are properly stored to ensure compliance with established regulations and procedures at all times.

Walking, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, lifting grasping, fine hand coordination, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, ability to read and write in English, ability to communicate with residents and personnel and ability to remain calm under stress B.
Residents' Rights Functions Duties:
Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect; know and comply with Residents' Rights rules; and follow residents' personal and property rights at all times.
On-Call shifts included in position.

Administrative Functions Duties:
Ensure that maintenance schedules are followed and file complaints and grievances with the Director of Maintenance.

Staff Development Functions Duties:
Attend and participate in training, in-service educational activities, workshops and seminars as directed.

Equipment and Supply Functions Duties:
Ensure that an adequate level of maintenance supplies is maintained at all times and advise the Director of Maintenance of supply needs; assist in lifting and moving heavy equipment and supplies; and, ensure that all equipment is in proper working order at all times and promptly report any malfunctions, breakdowns and hazardous conditions and equipment to the Director.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
