- Conduct assessments and interviews to determine eligibility for housing assistance programs - Provide case management services to clients, including developing individualized housing plans - Assist clients in navigating the application process for various housing programs, such as Section 8 and LIHTC - Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to coordinate resources and services for clients - Conduct home visits to assess living conditions and ensure compliance with program requirements - Utilize crisis intervention techniques to address immediate housing needs - Provide counseling and support to individuals experiencing addiction or mental health challenges - Advocate for clients' rights and access to affordable housing options - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Social Work or related field (preferred) - Experience in motivational interviewing, addiction counseling, or crisis management - Knowledge of housing laws and regulations, including Section 8 and LIHTC programs - Familiarity with OneSite or similar property management software - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills If you are passionate about helping others find stable housing, we encourage you to apply for the Housing Associate position.
