High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience creating schematic symbols and layout footprints using ECAD tools.
Experience and knowledge of PCB design technologies for military, airborne, and space, PCB layout techniques, electrical schematics.
Xpedition tool set experience (Siemens EDA).
Ability to read and interpret vendor component data sheets ECAD Tool REQUIRED! MUST be able to work well with a team and collaborate with the PCB Librarian.
Nice to Haves:
Associate degree with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience creating schematic symbols and layout footprints using ECAD tools.
Xpedition EDM (Siemens EDA) Valor Tool Experience DFA spacing and tables Knowledge of Cadence ECAD tools IPC certification CID or CID+ Understanding of BOM/ECO process Experience using PLM tools Familiar with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Job Description:
The Printed Circuit Board Design as part of a product development team responsible for the design of complex multilayer digital, power supply, or RF circuit cards.
They will work with the library team, layout designers, electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to produce high-quality designs per the defined requirements and schedule.
Essential Functions:
Create Logic and Footprint symbols for design engineers.
Collaborate with ECAD Library team and internal engineering customers.
Collaborate with mechanical design engineers to ensure mechanical accuracy.
Experience with mechanical dimensioning and both English and metric units of measure.
Comply with IPC-7351 standards and follow the established company design and fabrication guidelines.
Demonstrates a sense of urgency, commitment, and customer focus.
