9/80 L3Harris' Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Satcom/Missle Defense Program Manager to join our team.
This position will be based at our Palm Bay, FL facility.
Position Overview:
The Program Manager will support Ground SATCOM and Missile Defense strategy and opportunity development in Broadband Communication Systems (BCS).
The ideal candidate will work closely with Business Development to craft a successful strategy to expand the current terminal and modem business with the U.
S.
Government and international community.
This position requires strategic communication capability to work with internal and external suppliers and customers to form partnerships that will meet resilient digital SATCOM future needs.
This individual will lead multiple program opportunities from program pursuit through contract award and completion of final deliverables to the customer.
This Program Manager will own program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.
This Program Manager will oversee all aspects of the pursuit and proposal process including coordinating the resources to develop technical solutions, management solutions, and cost elements.
The person in this role acts as the primary customer contact for program activities and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to achieve mission success.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Identify new pursuits and opportunities for Ground SATCOM and Digital IF technology Adhere to L3Harris leadership expectations by exemplifying consistent team communication, drive a culture of engagement and inclusion, advocate employee growth and development for the future Work closely with Program Operations, Engineering, Sourcing, Quality and Manufacturing to implement the strategy through RFI responses, proposal development, customer demonstrations, and new business awards Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contracts Develop relationships with key partners, including small and minority-owned businesses, for system development and integration efforts Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with senior leaders and government customers Coordinate with chief engineer and functional managers to ensure the proper resources are available for focusing on a successful performance environment Establish milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications Participate in contract negotiations, scope change discussions and updates to contract documents Assist with short and long-term strategic plans and develop roadmaps linked to customers' roadmaps and expenditure plans Ability to travel domestically and internationally 15% of the time Required (Basic)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
