Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of the mechanical engineering team with various assignments by program teams for development of complex mechanical solutions that meet the challenges of a tactical computing environment. Your role will consist of leading mechanical engineering efforts from conceptual phase through production hand off and support. You will be involved with new product designs utilizing CAD, and will support the troubleshooting of existing design failures. Job Responsibilities Lead the mechanical design of products, systems or subsystems using CAD Work as a Technical Lead, driving and managing small sized teams to ensure the programs mechanical engineering requirements are achieved Drive designs from conceptual phase through production hand off Conduct Tolerance Analysis and utilize GD&T Perform and support initial and ongoing design reviews Design products to meet harsh environmental requirements; to include shock, vibration, thermal, immersion. Develop drawings using ASME standards Review drawings from team members for accuracy Develop BOM's, Engineering Changes, and manage design through configuration management release process Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services Identify process deficiencies and develop solutions to improve those deficiencies Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience Desired that candidate has modular card architecture/design experience Ability to use and/or learn PTC CREO software for mechanical design Experience in mechanical design/drafting of electronic packaging
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K

Mechanical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
