Principal Business Systems Analyst
The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services. Job Responsibilities Develop complex analyses for the specific area of expertise Plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. Also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on their findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues Independently review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications Development of Reports, Tool and Templates. Automation of current process and tools. Prepare, coordinate and support user training and documentation and provide technical assistance for post implementation support issues Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company Utilize Power Pivot, Power Query and Power BI to transform DataMart raw data into manageable information (expert level) SQL, VBA and M formula a must as well as expert level Microsoft Excel skills Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations Protect organization's value by preserving the confidentiality of information Qualifications Experience working with Power Pivot, Power Query and Power BI to transform DataMart raw data into manageable information (expert level) SQL and M formula a must as well as expert level Microsoft Excel skills VBA a plus. Additional Qualifications Bachelor's degree in management information systems, mathematics, information technology, computer sciences, engineering or equivalent experience A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in high technology, aerospace or defense or equivalent experience Ability to interpret and explain complex technology and business issues to the technical, general user, management and executive levels Must be able to work with internal customers to develop Requirements, Validation and Acceptance criteria for the development of Reports, Tools and Templates. Detail oriented, organized and able to prioritize multiple concurrent responsibilities Ability to work effectively with cross functional groups and to facilitate or participate in problem solving workshops or design sessions Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management tools and procedures a plus Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, DFAR regulations a plus Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment Ability to successfully interact with all levels of management, other IT professionals and end-users Strong customer interface skills Strong analytic and problem-solving skills Must have excellent oral and written communication skills Is open and responsive to change and demonstrates a commitment to the process of continuous improvement by identifying and responding actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
