Previous aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul, Military Repair Depo operational experience and or previous MRB AUTHORITY Ability to design aircraft primary and secondary structural repairs exceeding SRM limits. Provide mechanical solutions for issues that cannot be resolved using CMM, AMM or other applicable maintenance manuals. Provide structural substantiation of repairs and modifications using classic hand calculations. FEA/FEM a bonus. Design aircraft modifications of varying complexity and type to meet airworthiness requirements without affecting aircraft Type Design. Perform in all phases of hardware development, integration / implementation, and analysis. Participate in hardware evaluations. Create standards and guidelines for tasks being performed as required. Multi-tasking is required. Position Description:
This is an Aerospace Engineer (AE) classification which involves aircraft repair and modification position requiring well-rounded experience in structural and mechanical systems in support of repair and modification activities for a US Government air wing. Experience in both fixed wing and rotary winged aircraft required specifically but not limited to UH-1 Huey and H-60 Blackhawk. Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are mandatory to provide solutions which comply with continued airworthiness requirements as prescribed in FAR Parts 23, 25 and 27 as required. Candidate needs to be proficient UNDERSTANDING in classical static strength hand analysis, understand equivalent strength justifications, some level Fatigue analysis (e.g. Kt Sigma) as required, provide written technical evaluations in lieu of analyses as applicable. AE will be able to develop and documentation to be reviewed and approved by government program office. Understanding Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) and fleet management activities is a PLUS with a working knowledge of Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs) issued by the FAA. Must be available to coordinate with assets deployed overseas and provide swift solutions to incoming requests from those locations. AE is a part of a multidisciplinary team functioning within an IPT environment. Position Requirements:
Minimum of a BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering Min. Seven (7) years of direct experience in a relevant engineering activity ACTIVE MRPT - Public Trust Level Clearance:

Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
